Early Life and Education
Born on 14th October 1990, Dr. Arup Mohanta grew up in Ranaghat with a deep sense of empathy and a passion for science and service. His early education at Ranaghat Pal Chowdhury High School laid the foundation for his academic excellence and sense of discipline.
With a dream to serve people through medicine, he pursued MBBS at the prestigious Medical College Kolkata, one of India’s oldest and most reputed medical institutions. During his medical training, he developed a keen interest in surgery — a field that combines knowledge, skill, and immediate impact on patients’ lives.
Driven by his passion for operative care and clinical excellence, Dr. Mohanta completed his MS in General Surgery from R. G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. Here, he gained rigorous training in open and laparoscopic surgeries under the guidance of some of the most respected surgeons in the country. His postgraduate years shaped his surgical foundation, decision-making skills, and patient-centered philosophy.
